1 . What is a Giclée print?
Giclée is used to describe a fine art digital printing process. Giclée offers the highest degree of accuracy and richness of colour available from any reproduction technique. Printing onto either canvas or art paper. Resulting in a museum quality fine art reproduction. Giclée prints have an impressive record at gallery and museum exhibitions including The Louvre, The British Museum and The New York Metropolitan Museum of Art.
2 . What is a Gouttelette print?
Gouttelette [pronounced "goo-ta-let"] is derived from the French word for droplet. It is a digital printing process in which production of the very highest quality and fidelity to the original work is possible. The process allows the ink to travel down the paper fibres and into the sheet itself (wicking). This is what makes the results of gouttelette printing so exceptional, with the colour saturation and continuous tones for water colour and pastel reproductions matching the originals to all but the expert eye.
3 . How are my prints packed for despatch?
All prints are despatched rolled and placed into a rigid tube. Upon receipt, the canvas prints can be easily mounted onto stretcher bars, by any picture framing gallery. Posting in this form significantly reduces the risk of damage during shipping, ensuring you receive your product in A1 condition.
4 . What is a fine art litho print?
Litho printing is the traditional method of lithographic printing using the four colour process. Lightfast inks are used on high quality fine art grade papers.
5 . Do you offer a framing service?
No. Selling the prints unframed keeps postage costs to a minimum. Posting the pictures in this way also cuts down the risk of damage during shipping.
6 . Can I return goods if not satisfied?
Yes. You may return anything to us within 7 days of receiving the shippment for a full refund, if not as described (postage not refundable, unless goods arrived damaged). Note: Returned goods must be received back in pristine condition as originally dispatched. Refunds will be made by cheque in GB£ only.
7 . Is your website secure for online payments?
Yes. We use Paypal to process online ordering. A system used and trusted worldwide and the system is adopted by Ebay. We do not handle or keep any customer personal banking details. All the transactions are processed entirely by Paypal secure online ordering system.
8 . Do I need to be a registered Paypal user to place an order?
Yes. You can order goods securely from our site without needing to register with Paypal.
9 . Can I order by post, instead of online?
Yes. Please CONTACT us with your order request. Once we have confirmed your order by return email, then please send a cheque or money order in sterling pounds only, payable to English Sporting Art.com to our business address.
10 . Can I make telephone orders?
No. We do not take Credit or Debit card payments over the phone.
11 . What is the expected delivery time on orders?
We will endeavour to dispatch your order, within 4 working days of receipt, but please allow up to 28 days for worldwide delivery.
12 . Are condition reports available on original works and vintage prints?
Yes. Condition reports are available on original works and vintage prints, please use the CONTACT form to enquire.
13 . What are the shipping costs of originals within the UK?
Originals are shipped free within mainland UK via Parcelforce for small works or by courier for larger items.
14 . What are the shipping costs of originals outside mainland UK?
Each original work is unique with different weight, size and value. Each painting receives a custom made packing crate and is dispatched by a specialist art shipper fully insured. We cannot standardise the shipping costs for originals, but will gladly tailor a quote for you to any worldwide destination. Please use the CONTACT form to enquire for an accurate quotation.
15 . Can I use English Sporting Art.Com images?
Yes. You will need to buy a licence to use images copyright owned by English Sporting Art.Com within your products, publications or media advertising. Please CONTACT us with your requirements for a quote.
16 . Can you sell my fine art painting on your website?
Yes. We do offer this service, please CONTACT us for details of the procedure and fees.
17 . Do you accept trade orders?
We are happy to supply our greeting cards to shops. Minimum orders do apply please make initial enquiries through the CONTACT page.
18 . Are the prints available in sizes other than those shown on the website?
Only Giclée prints can be supplied at non standard sizes, as a special order. Please contact us for a quote stating the required image length or height. We will then quote for a print of that size, calculating the adjusted dimensions, up to a maximum size of A0.
